This weeks featured Tasty Tuesday restaurant is Cafe Evergreen in Nokomis. We’ve been here at least four times in the past two months, and it is absolutely delicious! All of their food is made in-house with no preservatives or GMO, and they use organic and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
Vegan and vegetarian dishes are clearly marked on the menu (which is always appreciated) and there is certainly no shortage of options! They have an awesome drink menu as well, which includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, such as vegan wine, fresh pressed juices, kombucha and more. My personal favorite is their Kinda Dry Blueberry Wine by Island Groves, which is comparable to a merlot.
We have tried many of their dishes and have never been disappointed. Our personal favorites would have to be the Vegan Beet Ruben and the Chipotle Black Bean Burger.
Also pictured are the Raw Avocado Sliders, and the Grilled Falafel, which are our go-to appetizers.
They also have Vegan Desert Cups that are to die for, and they have had a different variety of flavors each time we have gone. The Banana Cream is my favorite.
