SEALife Aquarium and ICON Park - Memorial Day Weekend - Day 2

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

Day 2 of our adventure in Orlando started with us checking out of the Hawthorn Suites and rebooking at The Rosen Centre. I am going to do a separate post on the new hotel because it was that AMAZING. Check in was not until 4pm, so we decided to visit ICON Park and the SEALife Aquarium while we waited.

Tickets for the SEALife Aquarium are currently on sale on their website for $20 for adults and $15 for kids over 3. They also have combo tickets if you want to do the Madame Tussauds wax museum next door.

We weren't too sure what to expect, as we had never been to this particular aquarium, and honestly the space looked small from the outside. We were blown away! The whole thing was a very immersive experience, and they did an excellent job using every inch of space.

Overall, it did not feel crowded and we were able to maintain the 6ft rule at all times in the exhibits. Our favorite were the giant sea turtles!! It took about an hour to walk through the whole thing. One thing I want to mention is how fantastic the staff were! From the ticket agent, to the photographers, everyone was extremely helpful and you can tell they love what they do!

After we were done at the aquarium we walked over the The Yard House for lunch. This is the first time we have eaten there, and we will definitely be back! We ordered a Korean Beef appetizer and two Beyond Burgers. Everything was delicious! Overall we really liked the upscale feel of ICON Park and plan on making it one of our regular stops in Orlando.
